Gary Oldman added one more recognition as Best Actor for his great performance of Winston Churchill in The Darkest Hours and the American Allison Janney also returned to be distinguished as Best Supporting Actress for his work in I, Tonya.

The film 'Three announcements for a crime' by Briton Martin McDonagh won five awards at the Bafta ceremony on Sunday in London, including the best film; and the Mexican director Guillermo del Toro took the position of best director.
The ceremony of the British Academy of Television and Cinematographic Arts (Bafta) was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
It took place in an environment marked by recent revelations of sexual abuse in the industry; and numerous stars dressed in black to protest against the scandals that involve big names of the cinema, among them the American producer Harvey Weinstein.
The academy had caused numerous criticisms for nominating only men, or films directed by men, in the most prestigious categories: those of best film, best British film and best director.
The ceremony was presented by the British actress Joanna Lumley, who won two Bafta awards during her career and rose to fame for her role in the television series "The New Avengers" ("The New Avengers").
Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence and Kristin Scott Thomas were some of the stars that dressed in black. British actor Gary Oldman won Best Actor Bafta for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in 'The Darkest Hour', and Frances McDormand won the best actress award for her performance in 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri'.
