At only 22 years, the young dancer is beside the Artus comedian from October 15, live on TF1 for the seventh edition of the dance competition.
It's true, I pass from darkness to light somewhat since last year, I was a dancer for additional group of tables and figuration on the choreography of the stars. Production had contacted me in June to return to spend the cast to be renewed in the same role. Everything went well and a few days later I got a call to tell me that I was chosen to coach but a celebrity.
Have you experimented with different celebrities?
No, only with a professional dancer. The casting takes place in three stages: first on my ability to create a choreography, another face on camera interviews to judge my ease and last on teaching dance at a beginner. A person of production has taken the game by being my student for a few minutes. These three steps have helped me to get here.
You were not in uncharted territory as you teach dance in the Saint-Nazaire ...
That's what I teach in Pornichet, Guérande and Saint-André-des-Eaux. And also in the association where I had my very first dance. Today I have about 200 students in the area and I abandon them temporarily to devote myself to Dancing with the Stars . I taught from the age of 17, a few years after my title of champion of France. Things are made naturally enough, it's a job that excites me.
And you're still young!
Yes, I'm 22, I am the youngest of the team of professional dancers from Dancing with the Stars . It's impressive but I so dreamed I saw things with a lot of fun. The whole team is adorable with me and puts me in the best frame. There is stress, excitement, I do not always sleep very well but I find it all in wonder.
What can you tell us about your partner, Artus?
He's adorable, we laugh a lot and there's a very good feeling between us. I met him the first time on the board Friday anything goes with Arthur , it was a surprise for him. In terms of training, it is going very well. There are phases where he likes to rave and others where he can be very serious and disciplined. He has a sense of rhythm and moves very well in space. For the worn, with his build, we will be able to do great things at acrobatics. Yet one has to work in style and I'm here to help.
Which will need to be as assured at the launch of October 15 live on TF1?
(Laughs.) I do not know. We will reassure each other. I know that once on the floor, I'll be 100% so it will be up to me to help him be as serene as possible.
Were you a viewer of Dancing with the Stars along?
Completely, from the first premium seven years ago, I was in front of my TV and I did not imagine for one moment that I would be here today. Maxime Dereymez, Fauve Hautot and Katrina Patchett are my idols since I was little. And to be with them, with them, is awesome.
A program like this one created he vocations among the young?
Yes, it has given a boost in dance schools. In my dance, I have forty children and all had the desire to learn by watching their idols or M. Pokora Shy'm in Dancing with the Stars . The program allows to further democratize our discipline and to bring young people as motivated as passionate.
