As the season six of Game of Thrones concluded, it is time to put a spotlight on Iwan Rheon, the actor embodying the evil Ramsay Bolton in the HBO series.
The origins
Born in Carmarthen, a small Welsh town, he has a social worker mother and accountant father. Iwan Rheon was living with his family at Cardiff. It incorporates a Welsh school where he started theater at the age of 17. Wanting to become an actor, Iwan studied at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. The actor is also a musician and plays in musicals such as "Spring Awakening" for which he was nominated for WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical.
As the invisible and torturer
His career took off when chosen for the role of Simon, the shy boy with the power of invisibility, in the famous British series Misfits. Meanwhile, he plays for the movie (Wild Bill Libertador, Resistance), but in 2013 his reputation climbs when he joined the cast of the series Game of Thrones from the third season. It embodies the dangerous Ramsay Snow, the illegitimate son of Roose Bolton, Theon Greyjoy is holding hostage. The character is illustrated by its perversity and cruelties, sparking a craze among the fans who love to hate Ramsay Snow, meanwhile become Ramsay Bolton, an iconic role that sticks to the skin of the actor.
Actor and musician
Note that the UK had auditioned for the role of Jon Snow; Iwan almost had it but it finally falls to Kit Harington. Alongside Game of Thrones, Iwan slips into the skin of Ash Weston's neighbor Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi, a gay couple in the series Vicious. The actor is also an accomplished guitarist and singer; he released his first album in particular, Dinard, in 2015.
After Game of Thrones
After lending his face to bloodthirsty and sadistic Ramsay, the young man takes a new start on the big screen with Sum, a SF film by Christian Pasquariell. Then he will play opposite Brooke Shields in Daisy Winters before joining the cast of the comedy Moving Pictures with Timothy Spall. Iwan is currently filming for Adolf the Artist, a television comedy in which he will play Adolf Hitler in his youth alongside Rupert Grint. The film will focus on the future Führer attempt to enter the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
